Gene was born on July 12th.  He graduated from Harlan High School in 1996 before attending college at the University of Iowa and serving as Sergeant in the US Army serving a tour in Vietnam.  He married Shelly Williams from Clarinda.  They have 3 children, Scott,  Christen and Karen.   Gene and Shelly live in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Gene is working for AgroNational in Council Bluffs.  He still ranks in the top ten as an Iowa Hawkeye fan.  He attends many of the games, both football and basketball.

Shelly has been with JC Penney's for years.  She loves to spend lots of time spoiling her grandchildren.

Scott and Traci have four children: Kaitlynn, Ceara, Elizabeth, and Zak.  Scott is working for the Army Corp of Enginners since his return from a tour in Iraq.

Christen is married to Larry and they are the proud parents of Jonathyn Leonard, named after Great Grandpa Grimsley, William Eldon, named after great grandpa Koobs, and Kennedy Raye.

Karen moved to New Hampshire to finish Air Traffic Controller school in the summer of 2006.  She is still in the Army Reserves after joining the US Army after high school graduation.  She spent a tour in Korea and a tour in Iraq.
